ABACUSS was born 2 months ago. Christos thought of his long lost mate Chris whom he used to work with back in the old days, and was wondering what had happened to him. He got a hold of Chris's phonenumber and called him up. The result is the sound you are hearing now. Christos is the voice and guitar, while Chris Eigner (Depeche Mode drummer) provided the backbone. The music style is alternative pop rock, with influences by Everlast, Creed, Shawn Mullins, and Stone Temple Pilots. Their album, Now Is Too Late, is available now.
Six feet tall and stunningly beautiful, rock singer STORM - along with her her tight, fiery quintet STORM, INC. from San Francisco, California, describes the band's music as "edgy, and rife with hooks that will scare you into dancing. It's like PJ Harvey sprinkled over some Soundgarden, or Fiona Apple losing it at a Blink 182 show and grabbing the mic from the singer after kicking him in the crotch."
West coast critics have called their performances "exhilarating" and "unforgettable". Their sound is spellbinding, and when combined with Storm's jaw-dropping performances, one can watch as they turn an impartial audience into stomping, cheering fans. How does she do it? Storm, quite simply, does not allow her audience to resist.

"The Calm Years" has beautifully crafted pop tunes, some in a low horny grind and some stabbing with punk rock rage. The lyrics are clear, bold and at times laugh-out-loud funny. Storm's voice can soar angelically one moment, and the next it drops as though calling up all the souls in hell for a post-apocalyptic orgy.
Storm describes the song, Thank God. "I was workin' out this riff I had had stuck in my brain for ages, but had no concrete story to tell. it was originally called "Hell Yeah," and it kinda rambled toward a basic "f--- you, anyway" statement that bothered me. I was sitting on my cousin's porch in Philly, chain smoking and drinking this pricey red wine he had, while punching the riff out on my acoustic bass. Earlier, my cousin and I had been talking about our lives, and where we wanted to be. Gus, my cousin is 10 years my senior with a secure job with his dad's firm, a great house, and an amazing wife and kids whom I love immensely. Then there was me. New band, no job, practically homeless, and totally broke. But sometimes, I explained, though there are moments of dispair - even panic, there is a shimmering sense of magic. A feeling that anything can happen and the universe has everything squared up and life is ripe and full of endless potential. My cousin smiled, filled my glass, and admitted that he was happy with his life and mine sounded pretty scary. Still, knowing me as well as he does, he couldn't imagine me living any other way. He was so right, and he still is.
